Rhode Island attorney general objects to 38 Studios release PROVIDENCE, R.I. – Rhode Island’s attorney general is objecting to the release of secret grand jury materials from the criminal probe into the state’s $75 million deal with former Red Sox pitcher Curt Schilling’s failed video game company 38 Studios.Gov. Gina Raimondo last month asked the state Superior Court to release records from the investigation, which closed with no criminal charges.Attorney General Peter Kilmartin, a fellow Democrat, on Friday filed an objection to the governor’s petition, although it contained no details. Kilmartin’s office is expected to explain its objections in a filing later.Raimondo says there’s an “extraordinary public interest” in the 38 Studios deal and its consequences. The company moved from Massachusetts to Rhode Island in 2010 in exchange for a $75 state million loan guarantee, then went bankrupt. by The Associated Press Posted Mar 7, 2017 9:54 am MDT Last Updated Mar 7, 2017 at 11:00 am MDT AddThis Sharing ButtonsShare to TwitterTwitterShare to FacebookFacebookShare to RedditRedditShare to 電子郵件Email
Thermo Scientific says it has the largest installed base of hand-held XRF spectrometers in Africa, used in mineral exploration and for other tasks. These units can be used for early stage exploration: soil survey and outcrop evaluation and advanced exploration and drilling: trend analysis to identify decreasing or increasing pattern of elements of interest to make “continue” or “stop” drilling decisions onsite. They can also assist with ore deposit modelling/mapping.The Niton XL3t XRF analyser offers features engineered to improve productivity and profitability:High sensitivity and measurement accuracyFlip-up, color, touch-screen displayErgonomic designEasy-to-use software50 kV x-ray tube provides approximately twice the x-ray flux of a 40 kV x-ray tubeHotfoot hot surface adaptor allows testing in petrochemical refineries up to (450°C).The Mining Indaba is at the Cape Town International Convention Centre, February 5-8.
