(Photo by Christian Petersen/Getty Images)Ohio State came into this afternoon’s game against Michigan State looking to rebound from two tough previous contests, having lost to Purdue and barely scraping past Nebraska at home. For much of the season, the Buckeyes’ problems have been on defense, with Urban Meyer’s team giving up a ton of big plays. That hasn’t been the case against Michigan State, though. OSU’s defense is actually playing pretty well.Ohio State does have one giant, glaring problem against Michigan State this afternoon, though: the offensive line. The Buckeyes’ offensive line has been absolutely dreadful against the Spartans so far today. Dwayne Haskins has been pressured on nearly all of his dropbacks, at times costing Ohio State big gains in the passing game.Ohio State’s offensive line has had some costly penalties, too. The Buckeyes just had an illegal use of the hands penalty that pushed OSU out of easy field goal range. Ohio State went on to miss the field goal and the game remained tied, 0-0.Buckeyes fans aren’t happy.“Haskins is out there playing with heart and fire. Will the rest of the offensive players do the same? This offensive line is so soft it’s embarrassing. Michigan is going to crush them,” one tweeted.“I’ve never seen an Ohio State offensive line be this bad,” another added. It’s certainly a major issue for the Buckeyes and one that needs to get corrected immediately.Ohio State and Michigan State are playing on FOX.
