Returning Eagles star ready to fight for Crystal Palace place

first_img1 Crystal Palace winger Yannick Bolasie says he is ready to fight for his place back in the starting line-up and is desperate to become a first-team regular under Alan Pardew.Bolasie has not started a league game for the south London club since he returned from the African Cup of Nations and has been forced to settle for a place on the substitutes bench. But with Palace going three games without a victory, the 25-year-old will be hoping he can force his way back into the side for the London derby against West Ham on Saturday.Bolasie, speaking in the Croydon Advertiser, said: “I am still trying to settle down. The manager gave me some time off last week, so I’m getting back into it slowly.“We have other players who have been doing well; the likes of Dwight Gayle, Wilfried Zaha and Jason Puncheon.“The competition for places is healthy but I’m not scared of that. I am really hungry so I want to prove myself again.” Yannick Bolasie in action for Crystal Palace last_img read more
