Share Share The Commonwealth of Dominica Police Force is investigating a ‘suspicious death’ in the community of Grand Bay.Sergeant Pelham Jno Baptiste of the Police Public Relations Committee reported on Monday 26 October 2015 that Presley Fontaine, 46, was found lifeless in a house on Sunday.“About 7:30AM on Sunday 25 October 2015, the Grand Bay Police responded to information which resulted in the discovery of a lifeless body at a house in Grand Bay. The body is that of forty-six year old Presley Fontaine, male adult of Grand Bay,” Jno Baptiste informed.He added that the scene was processed by the Crime Scene Unit of the Criminal Investigations Department and the body examined on the scene by a doctor, but was pronounced dead at the hospital by another doctor and secured at the mortuary at the PMH. “An inquest will be convened inclusive of a post mortem to determine the cause of death of the deceased. The police are treating the death of the late Presley Fontaine as a suspicious death, a suspected homicide,” Jno Baptiste said. There is no one in custody at present and the police are asking the public to assist in the investigations by reporting any information they may have on this incident. The police also extended sympathies to Presley Fontaine’s family and friends.
